An Exciting Inter-School Cricket Match

25th September 2013

Aali Qadr Moula TUS’s directives in the planning and setting of our day are of great importance. During His recent sojourns He (TUS), in his discourse stated, that “Health is Wealth”.

Sports at MSB has always been a major focal area in the development of the holistic child.

The Excitement began just before noon when the opponent team arrived through the main gates of the School for a two match series. They were welcomed gallantly by our Sports teacher.
The game was heralded by a photographic shoot with the two teams the MSBIANS and the KINGSLEYS posing enthusiastically, with their sports teachers, Muraquibeen and the Masool.
The rules of the game were demarcated and the game began swiftly with a decisive toss which was won by the KINGSLEYS who elected to bowl first. The MSBIANS took up the challenge and posted a total of 78 runs in 10 overs which were easily chased by the opponents. Without a moment wasted, the captains of both winning teams; the MSBIANS and The KINGSLEYS met for a 2nd toss. Luck favored the KINGSLEYS once again as they won the toss and proposed to bat first, this time. The MSBIANS united didn’t let their opponent to rise further than a score of 56 runs. It was the result of hard work and unity amongst the players that enabled the MSBIANS to tackle its opponents. The game carried on in great sportsman spirit as the spectators watched with excitement, cheering the game on. The Second Inning of the match turned into a nail-biting event as it led the match to the last over. MSB was declared the winner of the Second Match. The TWO match series resulted with a draw. The teams congratulated each other over refreshments which were absolutely the need of the hour after a tiring yet joyous event.
