“Halumma Naqrao” – Let’s Come Together and Recite!
On Friday, February 21, 2020, the day of Syedna Qutbuddin Shaheed’s (RA) Urs Mubarak, students of the Pre-Primary section held a Qaidah recitation programme that was the first ever of its kind.
The objective of the programme was to facilitate fluency in the correct recitation of Qaidah Saifiyah Burhaniyah. It consisted of four rounds in total. A total of 40 participants were divided into 8 teams of 5 students and named after different gems and stones.
Round one targeted words with zabar, zair, paish and alif.
The second round raised the bar and tested their ability of reciting words with tanween of zabar, zair and paish.
The next round assessed their recitation of words with madd on them.
They were tested in the final round with pictures displayed of words that were of alif waaw and ye.
It was quite a sight to see and the children did a fantastic job!
The students practiced and prepared for the programme wholeheartedly in class with great vigour. Their innocence and regard for each other could be seen as participants helped one another if any student made a mistake.
In addition, the programme was beneficial for their parents as they came to know how Qaidah Saifiyah Burhaniyah is to be recited at home as well.
All students were awarded a pencil box for their excellent efforts and those who secured first, second and third position were acknowledged with certificates.
