MSB Educational Institute’s Mathopedia (Upper Primary and Secondary)
The final round of Mathopedia 2020 was conducted on 4th February, 2020 for Upper Primary and Secondary school students (VI to XI) from 11.00 a.m to 1.00 p.m. in the Evan-e-Mufaddal (Shabbirabad).
Selection of the participants was done in a very fair, planned and systematic manner by conducting a written selection round. Initially there were two eliminating rounds from which twenty four students successfully qualified for the finals of Mathopedia.
The qualified students were then divided into four teams: Pythagoras, Euclid, Euler and Al-Khwarizmi.
In total, there were three rounds:
- Solitary Round
- Family Round
- Riddle Round
All the participants solved the questions enthusiastically along with the enthralled audience. However, team Euclid clearly with their excellent mathematical flair was announced the winner of the day!
At the end students who are learning Maverick Math (A technique to add and subtract numbers with units and tens on fingers) exhibited their calculative skills and mesmerized the audience by giving correct answers faster than the calculator.
In short the event proved to be an enriching, interesting and fun filled experience for the students.
