Keeping the students abreast with the latest and pertinent issues of our society, MSB Educational Institute, Shabbirabad hosted an Interschool English Declamation Competition on 9th April, 2019 for the students of classes VI-VIII. The competition aimed to promote the skills of effective Public speaking. Three students from each school participated in the competition speaking their minds on topics that they chose from the assigned ones. The listeners were impressed by the confidence exhibited by the students as they voiced their opinion in strong and powerful words in neck to neck competition where each tried to outshine the other to the best of his or her ability. The participants enthusiastically expressed their views on the given topics:

The competition was judged on the basis of their introduction, memorization, diction, articulation, gestures, delivery, eloquence and content. The judges imparted unbiased judgment. The competition was judged by Mr. Shahid Ashraf who is the Senior Manager of Sindh/Balochistan division of CAIE and works with over 200 schools to support them in effective implementation of Cambridge qualifications. Another one was a Senior Communications Officer at IBA Miss Maryam Tauheed and Miss Fatema Shahabuddin, a senior Freelance English Language Consultant. The students prepared for the competition under the tutelage of their respective teachers. At the end of the competition, while declaring the results, the judges stated that the contestants from all the schools were well prepared and performed amazingly well.

From grade VI, the second and third positions were taken by Sakina Yousuf and Hussayn Zain from Badri High School and VACS (Main Campus) respectively and the first position was bagged by Zainab Javaid from VACS (Junior Campus). There was a tie in second position between Khubaib Kamran from Sunbeams Grammar School and Hussaina Tahir from Badri High School in grade VII. The magnificent performance by Abde Ali Sadri, made him proudly bag the first position for our school and the moment was definitely an unforgettable one. The second and third positions went to Habiba Aamer from Sunbeams Grammar and Ayesha Alam from Dawood Public School respectively amongst the eighth graders. The first position was seized by Aamena Aamer from MSB Hydery with much zeal and excitement. The participants and teachers were provided with refreshments and were greeted with hospitality which was met with much appreciation and gratitude. Overall it was a knowledgeable and exhilarating experience and has definitely set another milestone for this prestigious institution.
