International Cats Contest
International CATS competitions have been developed by a team of well experienced professionals from around the world. These competitions play key role to motivate students to perform, excel and gain substantial experience, exhibit skills, question and gauge outcomes and reveal personal aptitude.
Participation in ICATS competitions will encourage students to be equipped with innovative techniques and cultivate their ideas and skills. It aims to strengthen the process of critical and clear thinking in upcoming leaders of the world through competing globally before entering the practical professional life.
Development and refinement of efficacious English communication skills has been another prime objective of ICATS English Linguistics Contest which is to play vitally significant role in education and professional career success. It has been designed to develop English communication skills as to how the sounds are used in English language, how and in which ways words, sentences and conversations are built up and how we use English language to express in society.
ICATS English was held in school on 16th of April, 2019 which witnessed a number of 263 students participating in it. The contest comprises of multiple-choice questions only. The participants have to select one best answer out of four options given. Every correct answer would earn THREE points whereas for every wrong answer ONE point would be deducted. For grades 1-4, the time limit is 75 minutes and 90 minutes for grades 5-10.
It is obvious that everyone who enters the competition will not be a winner, you can still benefit from the opportunity to challenge yourself. You’ll learn new things and develop new skills – and even if you don’t win, you can still show what you gained from the experience, and talk about this in job applications and interviews.
