Reading is Fun

Learning to read is a progressive path that teachers gently and subtly lead children upon beginning from the identification of phonemes and graphemes, associating them with sounds, blending them together and forming words and then eventually developing their reading skills and begin reading meaningful text.

The students’ excitement with their newly acquired skill was encouraging and pleasing, inspiring us to lead the students into a healthy reading competition.

The initial rounds took place in the classrooms where every student was able to take part. Six children from each section qualified for the final round which was held on 28th April 2011.

The students participated very enthusiastically and filled us with pride to watch them read so confidently and competently.

The winning students were awarded certificate.
