5th All Inter School Science Exhibition 07
With pleasure this is to inform you all that, by the grace of Allah Taala and Dua Mubarak of our beloved Aqa Moula TUS, students’ of Al Madrasa tus Saifiya tul Burhaiyah Shabbirabad Karachi participated in the 5th All Karachi Inter School Science Exhibition which was organized by “The world group of Educational Institutes†on 24th March 2007, and continued till 25th and 26th March. Al Madrasa tus Saifiya tul Burhaiyah Shabbirabad Karachi received an invitation on 19th March to participate in the exhibition, which was responded positively. The exhibition was held in the “Sir Adamjee Institute of Technology†premises in which around 35 schools participated, among those were: Karachi Public High School, Manhattan Grammar School, Happy Home School, B.V.S Parsi High School, St. George’s School, Buckingham Grammar School, The Set Education School , B.F.C Nazimabad and the educational world campuses.
From each school two projects were allowed to be exhibit one from each, the Primary Section and the Secondary Section. From Madrasa two students (Umme Salama Abizer Rampurawala and Ruqayya Badruddin Jetpurwala) from class 5B presented the project on “The effects of Global warming in tundra region†and two students (Nooruddin Abbas Petiwala and Yousuf Shabbir Lamuwala) from class 8B presented the project on “the
use of emulsifier in the construction industryâ€.
Inaugural Ceremony was held on Saturday 24th March at evening and the exhibition was inaugurated by Advisor to Chief Minister for I.T Mr Noman Saigol and District Governor, Lions Clubs International, Lion Mrs Nighat Jawed. They were very appreciative of the creative skills of students.
The exhibition was also visited by Mr. Mohammed Irfan Sheikh, Director marketing & sales, Hino Pak Motors, Mrs Huma Bukhari, Vice Chairperson, Newport Institute, Dr Khalid Aness, Chairman Physics Department, Karachi
University, Mrs Faryal Husain of Oxford University Press, Heads and Educators of all the Participating schools.
On the second day, the exhibition was open for the public and thousands of people came to observe and hear from the young scientists. While the evaluation of the projects by the judges was also done on the same day.
On the third and last day of the exhibition, students from various schools visited the stalls. A.M.S.B Educational Institute also sent student from class VIII A & VIII B to view the projects, so that their scientific knowledge is
strengthened and they could learn from other student’s physical and oral presentation skills.
Dr. Saeeda Malik, Provincial Minister for women Development, Professor F.K. Siddiqi, Director Personnel and Administration, Hino Pak Motors and many other prominent personalities visited the exhibition and were present
at the award giving ceremony which was held in evening at 5:30pm. At the award giving ceremony all the participating students were given Certificate of Participation and all the participating educational Institutes
were presented the shield. After that the names of the position holding projects were announced.
Behamdillah e Taala, wa be Barakat e Dua e Moulanal Minaam TUS among all the projects of primary section, MSB’s Project “The effects of Global warming in tundra region†won the 3rd prize and a check of rupees 3000 was presented to the winning students as a token of appreciation.
