MSB Joins SUPARCO in their Space Week Celebration

SUPARCO Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Organization celebrated World Space Week from 4th October-11th October 2013.
The students of AMSB participated in various events in this celebration.
Students of class 8th Muffadal Lakdawala and Hussian Sunelwala made a space model to display at the PAF museum in the Model Making competition on the 4th October.
Tuesday 8th Naquiyah Jorbhai 0f class 8 participated at the declamation contest along with 7 other schools. The topic for this contest was “Exploring Mars-Discovering Earth.” The speech was well researched containing a lot of interesting information.
The most practiced and exciting activity of the competition was launching a rocket using water as the source of energy. The participant Mohammad Saiger of class 8 did a trial launch on the school ground where his rocket flew from the secondary building and landed at the canteen about 15 ft away. On Wednesday 8th he competed against the other avid scientists of the future and managed to make his rocket cover the distance of just 20 meters short of the target.
