Global Hand Washing Day

The little MSB Pre-Primary students joined hands with children world-wide to celebrate Global Hand Washing Day today.

Recognizing the fact that simple hand washing with soap is the single most effective and inexpensive way to prevent diarrhea and acute respiratory infections.  It was only befitting to celebrate this day by turning hand washing with soap into an ingrained habit in the light of the directions from Moulaya Aali Qadr (TUS) to Momineen around the globe upon cleanliness.

Classroom discussions revolved around the following points

–> why must we wash our hands
–> when must  we wash our hands
–> The use of  soap and clean water to wash hands
–> How to dry our hands out
–> The outbreak of diseases due to unclean hands.

The students busied away washing their hands and drying them meticulously as they hummed along the hand washing rhymes, just as they’d been shown by their teachers.
