Workshop on Home Sciences conducted by the Students of Al Jamea tus Saifiyah

Home Science takes precedence over all other forms of education for muminaat worldwide in the current times. Today young students are acquainted with the importance of home science and are contributing in their own little ways at home. Today the students of Class IX from Al Jamea tus Saifiya conducted workshops for the girls of the Upper Primary and Secondary Section of Al Madrasa tus Saifiya tul Burhaniyah.
The students of Al- Jamea tus Saifiya divided themselves amongst the classes in a way that they conducted a workshop on the awareness of different occasions and their ethics in every class. In class V the students were educated on the ethics and etiquettes for the preparation of the upcoming Eid ul Adha. The students discussed in detail the kind of animals that are preferred for sacrifice and were also informed about the historical significance of the day.
The ethics and preparation for the days of Ashara Mubarakah were discussed in Class VI and VII. The students of Al Jamea tus Saifiya shared the minutest details of the etiquettes to be observed during waaz Mubarak and listed the items that should be carried along in their bags. Emphasis on not eating snacks which make a lot of sound and disturbance was effectively laid.
Al-Misaaq, the appropriate age, the importance of the occasion were explicitly discussed in Class VIII. Emphasis on the demeanor and the importance of rida and clothing were discussed. Realization about mode of interaction and meeting with relatives and friends in the society formed an important part of the discussion.
Students of Classes IX- XI were seated in the Ewaan-e- Mufaddal where they were counseled on the importance of adopting and adapting to the sciences of the home. Gardening, Information Technology, Child Development, Nutrition and Health formed the major part of the discussion. The students of Al Jamea tus Saifiya carried out the program with an activity in the end where the students were divided in groups to further generate ideas on how they can effectively apply various home sciences in their domestic lives and even generate a business venture out of it.
Our students participated with keen interest in the discussions as the senior talebaat from Al-Jamea-tus Saifiyah shared from their wealth of knowledge creating a fine blend between activities and discussions.
